So I was wondering, I got my self Photoshop CS2 full edition.
Been using it for a long time now and i'm quite happy with it.

But of course they also now have a new version CS3, is it so much better?

What is the difference between them, and would it be worth my money to upgrade to CS3?

thanks in advance!

I think its more a question of if you really want the new features described at the link.

I got the whole CS3 master collection here, pretty happy with it.
I'm mostly using it for the Flash CS3 version since I need to code in AS3 and not in the AS2 language of flash 9.
Also since I'm mostly working on my laptop while programming / designing / editing de CS3 collection is really superior in usability since I'm running vista.

but to get back on Photoshop CS3, it is really a personal choice to upgrade or not in my opinion sinice it depends on your needs, for me myself I do not use photoshop that much / heavily so im fine with both versions (got CS2 on my desktop).

Im not a massive guru on photoshop but I use it daily, the only personal problem I had about moving to cs3 was that in cs2 you could use the move tool to select an object and it would automatically select the layer, in cs3 I havent seemed to find the solution to this so I have to make sure I name all my layers so that I can always go back later to amend things as you cant just click objects on the design table.

Other than that, I'm a big fan of cs3 > fireworks.

i can only suggest you to wait for now.

i was at the presentation of the Adobe CS4 last week... and WOW, just WOW.

Premiere, Bridge, Flash and Photoshop have some awesome new features.

If you're planning on buying the new version, might aswell wait a little bit longer and get the CS4.
